Colombo was a popular destination and transit point that was used by BOAC and Qantas for their long-haul flights to Australia. Harry Rogers, an Australian designer who enjoyed a long and productive association with Qantas devised many different poster series from the 1950s through to the 1970s which promoted Qantas as Australia?s premier international carrier. He designed two iconic travel posters for Ceylon during the 1960s.
